K’Jahnel Williams owned December and in retrospect the span of 2025.
Affectionately known to us as KJ, she is a proud member of our Springers (pre-teen Dance Team) and our LCE (LEAP Company Ensemble). KJ closed out the year by quietly doing something extraordinary. This December, KJ made LEAP history. She became the first LCE Member across both St. Kitts and Nevis to be moved from Juniors into Seniors due to rapid and undeniable skill development. No shortcuts. No hype. Just focused work and visible results.
KJ has locked in.
As an avid dancer, K'Jahnel has been steadily honing her craft, sharpening her technique, studying each genre, and proactively deepening her understanding of movement. A quiet soul, she holds her corner on the dance floor with remarkable grace and humility. She does not chase the spotlight, yet somehow powerfully commands it. There is a relentless drive about her. A refuse-to-quit, stay-until-the-job-is-done mindset that defines how she approaches her training.
KJ commits. In studio. At home. Repetition after repetition. Her practice makes progress. Big progress!
She listens expertly. You can see it in her eyes. The attention. The intention. She absorbs information like a sponge, then allows it to flow through her body, translating knowledge into dramatic growth as a dancer and performer. Each correction becomes fuel. Each rehearsal becomes a level-up.
Beyond her impressive technical progress, KJ carries herself with a level of professionalism that sets a powerful example. She is always impeccably presented in uniform. Always on time. Always present. Respectful, positive, team-oriented, and kind. These are not small things. They are the big personal hallmarks of a true LEAP Superstar!
KJ is living proof that dramatic growth does not require bells and whistles.
It requires focus, consistency, humility, discipline, and the courage to keep showing up.
And that is exactly what she does.

NICHELLE OTTLEY

November, 2025
Driven. Intentional. Powerful.
We rightfully celebrate Nichelle Ottley, whose presence across LEAP is marked not only by volume, but by profound certainty. As a mega multi-talent dancer, actress, and gymnast in our Trotters, Sparklers, Benders and LCE; and as a Junior Tutor to our Benders Beginners & Benders Intermediates, Nichelle navigates her LEAP journey with a calm assurance that commands attention without demanding it.
Her confidence is steadfast. Grounded. Unshakeable.
Nichelle commits to excellence in every space she enters, and she does so with a rare, silent humility. But, if you take a moment to really look at her, you will see it. The fire in her eyes. The intense ambition. The constant burn for better that fuels her growth. Don’t be fooled by her softness. There is nothing passive about her pursuit.
Nichelle embodies the very characteristics that define LEAP excellence. Leadership that is natural and earned. Positivity that steadies a room. True team spirit. A hunger to learn, grow and improve. Proactiveness, precision, attention to detail, dexterity, and strong stage presence.
And then there is her superpower. Musicality. An unmatched sensitivity to music that shows up every single time she performs, no matter the discipline. She listens deeply. She responds instinctively. She moves with intention. Her inherent level of musical intelligence elevates her performances and sets her apart in ways that cannot easily be taught.
What makes Nichelle’s journey even more impressive is how seamlessly she balances her many skill sets and commitments. Not only has she mastered the complexity of the wide range of classes she attends at LEAP, she's developed sound leadership and her own impressive knack for teaching, as Tutor of our most impressionable young gymnasts. She juggles all these things, and somehow makes it look effortless. But make no mistake. That ease is the result of discipline, focus, and deep internal motivation.
Our Managing Director, Genieve Hanley, shared a recent observation that stands out as one of Nichelle’s most admirable qualities:
“What jumps out at me with Nichelle is her unique ability to always advocate for herself with grace. This is something I am extremely passionate about cultivating in young girls. Whether she is clearly articulating her goals and next steps, challenging a concept, asking questions, or calmly asserting what she needs, Nichelle does so with admirable clarity and confidence.”
Nichelle is exceptionally focused. Nichelle is outstandingly intentional. Her eyes are always on the prize, and once she locks in, she achieves exactly what she sets out to do. That is power. That is purpose.

KHALIA POWELL
LEAP Star of the Month
October, 2025
October belonged to Khalia.
And not by chance.
The true essence of who Khalia is as an artiste has risen to the surface in the most powerful way. Her work ethic, passion, loyalty, commitment, and visible growth defined every space she stepped into. October did not just showcase her talent. It revealed her character.
During what can only be described as an intense and demanding season, Khalia committed to competing in the Miss Charlestown Secondary School Pageant. Anyone familiar with pageantry knows the level of preparation required. The time, the discipline, the energy, the focus, and sacrifice. Yet despite the weight of this commitment, Khalia refused to let it interfere with her various commitments at LEAP.
In truth, her pageant journey became an extension of LEAP itself. On stage and off, she represented the organization with pride, poise, professionalism, and passion. Every appearance, rehearsal, interview, and performance reflected the values she has cultivated within LEAP. Her success was not separate from LEAP. It was rooted in it. Khalia went on to win the show, capturing an extraordinary lineup of titles:

Each award spoke volumes about her personal standard of excellence, her skills set, her showmanship, her creativity, her stage savvy, and the way she treats people. These were not just wins. They were affirmations.
What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that Khalia did not miss a single LEAP beat throughout this period.
Not one class.
Not one responsibility.
She continued to serve steadfast as a Junior Tutor to our Rollers, Twirlers, and Bouncers, all while actively training as a dancer, actress, and gymnast across Trotters, Sparklers, Benders Advanced, and LCE. And yes, all of this unfolded during one of LEAP’s most critical terms of the year: Technical Training for Exams. Each group had its own complex curriculum, assignments, assessments, and performance standards. Khalia was determined to experience all of it, complete all of it, and rise within all of it. Whew!
Our Managing Director, Genieve Hanley, additionally shared what she considers perhaps her proudest observation of Khalia’s journey this term:
“She has blossomed beautifully in her Junior Tutor role. I’ve witnessed major growth in her leadership skills, her ability to articulate herself, and her humanity when working with our littlest LEAPers. Her unwavering positivity, open mind, and willingness to step out of her comfort zone stand out. It fills my cup to see her thrive in this way, and in every way.”
Khalia Powell is the embodiment of what it means to lead while learning, to shine without abandoning responsibility, and to grow without losing humility. October and this term did not just belong to her because of what she achieved. It belonged to her because of how she showed up.
And that is why she is our LEAP Star of the Month. 🌟
CHARLOTTE LUPINACCI

🌟 We are incredibly proud to recognize Charlotte Lupinacci as LEAP’s September Star of the Month! 🌟
Charlotte is living proof that consistency truly matters. Over many years at LEAP, she has continuously set the standard as a multi-talented triple-membership LEAPer in dance, musical theatre, and gymnastics. She arrives to every class prepared and polished, always present, punctual, and in full uniform, maintaining a flawless, long-standing personal profile that speaks volumes before classes even begin.
Her behaviour is exemplary and rooted in respect, positivity, focus, discipline, and strong team spirit. Charlotte demonstrates unwavering commitment to her craft, giving equal dedication to dance, acting, and gymnastics, no matter how demanding each discipline becomes.
She has shone centre stage in dance performances, taken on complex roles in musical theatre, and achieved an impressive range of gymnastics skills that highlight her strength and determination. In every area, she works with care, intention, and drive, always pushing herself to grow.
What truly sets Charlotte apart is her quiet confidence. She leads naturally, without seeking the spotlight or attention, and easily earns the trust of her teammates through her consistency, helpfulness and knowledge. Her fellow dancers often look to her for guidance, whether it’s understanding vocabulary, demonstrating or refining technique, or clarifying classwork.
Charlotte is a joy to work with in every setting and is a true role model within the LEAP community.

CAJOY ISAAC
LEAP Star of the Month
August, 2025
If dedication had a face, it would look a lot like Cajoy Isaac. ⭐️ Joining the ranks of our monthly luminaries, she is our August-assigned STAR of the Month, shining brightly for all the right reasons and continues to set the bar across multiple areas at LEAP.
Cajoy is one of our longest-standing members. She has been with us since toddler level and has grown through every stage of the program with grace, drive, unmatched skill, and an unmistakable love for the arts. Her achievements over the years continue to motivate and inspire fellow members and audiences who have watched her evolve from a tiny dancer into a multi-talented leader.
Cajoy is the most highly decorated LCE (LEAP Company Ensemble) Member to date - our most advanced level of dance training! She not only has earned the most stars across the board for her various sets, but she tends to earn her gold stars the quickest of all, approaching the floor with her signature courage and dexterity. Sets are challenging, genre-based choreography pieces that test bravery, retention, and performance quality. They are not easy, but Cajoy moves through them with such confidence and skill, showing a clear command of her craft every time she steps onto the floor.
Her leadership continues to bloom. She was recently appointed captain of her advanced gymnastics team, Flippers Advanced, 'The Black Cobras', guiding them as they prepare to compete in our first ever AGM (Advanced Gymnastics Meet) on December 14th. Her teammates look up to her and her calm strength, organization and motivation has already made a positive impact on their journey.
Cajoy also holds long-standing solo Tutor roles for two of our signature dance teams, the Swaggers (Hip Hop) and the TikTokers. She proactively created for each an enriched curricula that cover the history of each genre, their development, and their relevance in today’s dance world. Her creativity and care show up in every lesson, and her students are not only learning to move, they learn meaning behind their movements.
This year she expanded her contributions even further by joining our coaching team for our Basics, Beginners, and Intermediate-level gymnasts. She stepped into this Junior Tutor role with maturity, a collaborative spirit and enthusiasm, proving again and again that she’s committed to the growth of our youngest athletes and acro-dancers. Also active as tutor in our General Dance Program, she guides our 5 - 7 year old dancers (Skippers) as well as our 8 - 10 year olds (Hoppers).
Cajoy’s consistency, courage, creativity and leadership make her an example to LEAPers across the program. We’re proud of her work, her heart, and the excellence she brings to every space she enters.

JAHNAYA HOBSON
LEAP Star of the Month
July, 2025
We are overjoyed to announce and celebrate Jahnaya Hobson as our July 2025 Star of the Month. If “rising to the occasion” were a person, it would be her. She has been a long-standing, multi-talented dancer at LEAP with a natural ability to master diverse styles, deliver energetic performances and warm every room with her sweetheart personality. From her earliest days with us, she has demonstrated commitment, drive and a love for movement that radiates through every routine. And let’s be honest, she is also one of LEAP’s original TikTok Dance Queens, always nailing the latest viral choreography with pizzazz, rhythm and that signature big personality that everyone adores.
On this occasion, we especially acknowledge the incredible impact she has made as a new Tutor in our Cheerleading Program. Since stepping into this solo leadership role, the team has grown tremendously in so many brilliant ways. Her students have flourished under her guidance, showing noticeable improvements in their skills, confidence, enthusiasm and team spirit. Thanks to her leadership, love and structure, Flyers has become one of our most exciting and impressive teams to date. Jahnaya is organized, passionate and a pleasure to work with in every setting, whether she is coaching, planning, performing or bringing ideas to life.
Beyond her duties on the dancefloor, she adds extraordinary value behind the scenes. You can always count on her to help produce creative reels, capture dynamic footage of her students in action and keep our LEAP audiences connected and engaged all year long. Her eye for content, her energy in front of and behind the camera and her understanding of what young performers respond to make her an invaluable asset to our creative community.
The love her students have for her is unmistakable. These days, Jahnaya can hardly walk into the LEAP Studio without being greeted by a flood of hugs, excited chatter and children calling her name with adoration and admiration. She has become a role model, a big sister, a friend, a leader and a bright spark in the lives of so many young performers.
We are immensely proud of her growth, grateful for her contributions and excited for everything she will continue to bring to LEAP. Congratulations to our July 2025 Star of the Month, Jahnaya Hobson. Your star shines brightly and your journey has only just begun. ✨
HADASSAH DANIEL
LEAP Star of the Month
June, 2025
Permit us to play a bit of catch-up as we continue to pay tribute to LEAP Stars who shone brightest within a designated month and beyond, and take one of twelve coveted spots on our Wall of Fame for 2025. We paused on this initiative during our summer break and all pending announcements are long overdue.
We are delighted get the ball rolling again and shine the spotlight on Hadassah Daniel as our June 2025 Star of the Month! Hadassah has truly risen to the occasion this year, embracing every challenge, mastering every moment and embodying the spirit of our LEAP family with gusto and grace.
From the very beginning of this new acro-skill system we introduced — where every advanced gymnastics skill mastered earns a star — Hadassah set a pace that others simply had to follow. Swiftly earning a remarkable total of 31 stars, she outpaced the second-place earner, who scored 28. That achievement speaks not just to volume of work she covered, but to the depth of focus, consistency and ambition she brings to every drill and demonstration.
On stage, Hadassah’s presence has been equally commanding. In our May 2025 LEAP Nevis Recital “The Wild, Wild West,” she sashayed bravely into the lead role of “Dan” and delivered a performance that left our audience in love with her character. Her theatrical skills, her timing, her dramatic flair and genuine connection with the story were so impressively evident. Building on that momentum, she has already gone on to secure big roles in recently-shot film productions such as “Pan Gyul,” with its big-screen cinematic debut on the horizon.
Of course, talent alone isn’t the whole story. What sets Hadassah apart is her radiant personality in the bright smile, the energy that lifts her peers, the endless zest for fun and the fearless flair she brings to the dance floor. Whether in rhythmic leaps, floor performance, or the drama of theatrical moments, she is all in. And yet, nestled within that sparkle is a growing seriousness, humility and a dedication to her craft that signals a shift from being a standout performer to being a leader.
That leadership dimension came into clear focus when she earned one of only two coveted captain roles on our Benders Advanced gymnastics team, the “Golden Gazelles” who will compete this December at the first annual LEAP AGM (Advanced Gymnastics Meet). Her teammates will look to her for energy, decisiveness, creativity, organization and for spirit. She has clearly moved into that space, and how proud we are!
Hadassah, your journey thus far has been extraordinary, and we see ahead of you the kind of horizon many only dream of. Your potential stretches beyond our dance floor, recital auditoriums and competition mats. We envision your name one day glowing on a Hollywood marquee, your presence commanding a stage where global audiences gather. Keep chasing, keep soaring, keep elevating and know we are all standing behind you, rooting for you and thrilled to watch you shine.

ANAYA MANSUKHANI

Growth. Drive. Commitment. Persistence. Open-mindedness. Team Sprit. Skillfulness. Calm. Focus.
These are all words and phrased that so easily come to mind when describing our May 2025 LEAP STAR of the Month - Anaya Mansukhani!
Anaya is a proud triple-threat member of our Musical Theatre, Dance and Gymnastics Teams - Dazzlers, Hoppers & Flippers Advanced, respectively. Exceptionally committed to her notable development as an artiste, Anaya undertakes new assignments with ease, finesse and confidence. She's quick to learn choreography, no matter how complex; eagle-eyed for every task; and is so disciplined and attentive in each class she attends. A highly valued member of each team, Anaya, though quiet in spirit, is a force to be reckoned with - a loud, undeniable talent! ✨
She recently suffered an injury at school, but refused to let it slow her down. A casted arm was no excuse for Anaya to not show up for all her classes, or even reduce her various roles she played in her dances and acting in our recent recitals. She relentlessly took her place on the floor and on stage, practicing and performing beautifully as if she was at her best, because she was determined to be at her best! This is the true spirit of a star LEAPer - bold, beautiful and brave.
Teacher Cajoy, beaming with love and pride, commented:
"Congratulations on being named LEAP Star of the Month! I am so incredibly proud of you. Your commitment, consistency, and passion have not gone unnoticed. Even while recovering from your injury, you showed up with strength, determination and continued to give your best in every class. That kind of resilience is what you makes a true dancer and a true STAR! I’ve watched your growth over time and it’s been nothing short of inspiring. Keep shining, keep striving and never doubt how much potential you hold. This recognition is well-deserved and I can’t wait to see what you do next!"

You have proven yourself as a gentle giant in our Program, possessing qualities of excellence without tooting your own horn. NAIMAH HAMILTON

If 'Team Spirit' were a person... it would be Naimah Hamilton! What a highly passionate, caring, thoughtful, dedicated and enthusiastic young lady, we are sincerely blessed to have in our dance and gymnastics programs of LEAP Nevis! A quiet leader, major talent and humble inspiration, she pours her soul into everything she does. She wholeheartedly shares workable ideas; cheers on, celebrates encourages others; and always ensures that her teams - Rompers and Benders Intermediates - are looking and feeling great!
Our dear Naimah has always been this kind of person, but as of late we have watched even more of these qualities emerge and shine, as she consistently pushes her teammates to new standards of excellence. Oh, we know about the group chat, Naimah! We know how you go out of your way to make sure everybody is practicing at home and is showing up to class with the right frame of mind to win!
Recently, as we all undertake heavy grand recital preparations, Naimah played a critical role in ensuring her dance team is able to contribute three dance pieces to our upcoming show 'The Wild, Wild West'. They locked in two performances for sure - the average contribution of a dance team at LEAP to a show - but Naimah bravely proposed with great detail to her tutor that her group performs an additional Latin piece she envisioned, dubbed 'Suavemente'. Challenge accepted. Despite the pressure of preparing the dance without much time, Naimah pushed her team, despite a few hiccups, to complete the task, and with time to spare! This speaks to the 'never give up' spirit she possesses - a quality we know will carry her well through life.
Naimah does it all with grace and a smile. She is a great representation of the positivity we stand for in our Program, and we could not be more proud. Congratulations Naimah, on joining our Wall of Fame as our fourth historic superstar for the month of April, and two packed audiences look forward to seeing you and your teams' vision come to life on stage this upcoming weekend at our annual recital. Shine forever. ✨

How do we discuss excellence without spotlighting KHAYLA? 🤷🏽♀️💫
Ladies and Gents, our LEAP Star of the Month for March 2025 is none other than the unconquerable Khayla Claxton! 🌟
A born leader, Khayla gladly and quite easily takes on so much responsibility at LEAP - she’s an outstanding multiclass member in our dance, gymnastics and musical theatre programs. Her exceptionalism translates into her tutorship of our most impressionable young LEAPers, our Rollers, Bouncers & Twirlers. On the floor she’s known for her kindness, thoughtfulness, creativity, generosity, patience, energy, talent and attention to detail. She goes FULL OUT in every way, every time!
Most recently, she has added LCE Member to her LEAP Resumé and was the first to accumulate stars with her choreography presentations. She’s the only member holding two stars out of the team for her ballet and hiphop delivery. ⭐️⭐️
Additionally, Khayla volunteers and accepts any invitation to lead LEAP cohorts and be present and purposeful at any event including recent our recent Tring Park collab and Junior Tutors Training, and is now heading up a cheer team for our program for an upcoming parade.

LATAUNYA WEEKES
LEAP Star of the Month

"I am so impressed!" comments LEAP's Director, Genieve Hanley, as LEAP proudly adds another stalwart to its prestigious STAR of the Month Roster! Lataunya Weekes is more than well-deserving of this title for February, 2025. She's always had that star quality, but has dramatically shone over the past weeks, with a level of work and commitment that we deem 'out of this world'! Lataunya's creativity; strategizing and organization; proactiveness; communication; planning and time management skills; leadership; positivity and team spirit have risen to a whole other level.
"I'm inspired!" she smiles and says, when we acknowledge her renewed level of excellence.
Lataunya is a long-standing, valued Member of our Program, who grew and transitioned over the years out of our General Dance Program for Children, into our Adult Dance Program and LEAP Tutor to our 8 - 10 year old dancers. Her peers would describe her as buoyant, dexterous, collaborative and sharp. She's no stranger to a LEAP SHINE Award and takes such pride in her personal and professional standards and growth.
Heading up our Hoppers, Lataunya, coordinating seamlessly with her talented Co-Tutor, Gabrielle, has already completed masterful choreography with her children, way ahead of schedule. Their classes are exceptionally fruitful and a joy to behold. You'll see this duo approaching the floor in their coordinated uniforms, with an iPad mapping out their daily, weekly and monthly actionables and goals, and each minute of their classes carefully accounted for. Their ideas for dance pieces, impeccable teamwork and teaching methods are sterling.

You have been a stark reminder to me and the community of artists that surround you, to rise to the occasion, every day, every time. JUNELIYAH WHYTE
LEAP Star of the Month
January, 2025
This shooting star’s journey began with us just a few years ago, in 2022. She enrolled in our General Dance Program and made a lasting impression with her Dance Teachers, our Director and her Teammates, from the very first minute she approached the dance floor, with her infectious presence, profound passion, notable flexibility, agility and personality.
Juneliyah, more affectionately known to us as ‘Harmony’, has thrived in our Program, inevitably expanding her Membership over time to include gymnastics as a LEAP Flipper, quickly working her way up to Intermediate Level, and now she is also a shining member of our TikTok Team. This triple talent, maintains an excellent profile, always present, punctual, proficient and pleasant. She is a great team player and she's exceptionally driven, not accepting that she can’t yet do some of the most technical skills we teach—often returning the next week achieving them after spending days enthusiastically practicing independently at home. She pours her heart into her standard of excellence in our Program.
During the month of January, we unfortunately received news that she got injured with a broken arm. Did that stop Juneliyah from attending her three weekly classes? Absolutely not! She not only attends, cast on, but she is most active! “No excuses!” has been her approach. Another highlight of the past weeks for Juneliyah was her admission to our LCE (LEAP Company Ensemble) by way of audition. She presented a skillful creative piece, that earned her a coveted spot in our Junior cohort.
Our Director, Genieve Hanley, who leads LCE and oversees our Program commented, “Harmony is magnetic. She has the kind of personality, presence, passion and poise that make for a powerful performer. You can count on her to easily recall choreography, practice religiously on her own time, nail complex feats, and pour her everything into all her on-stage appearances. I had the pleasure of coaching her last year for her Talent Appearance in her school’s pageant and got to witness firsthand how exceptionally driven, focused, brave, proficient, and disciplined she is. She is a force to be reckoned with! Congratulations Harmony, our first ever LEAP Star of the Month!”
Her Hoppers Dance Tutor, Gabrielle Myers, added to this lovely sentiment, “Juneliyah is a dedicated and skilled dancer who never fails to bring the energy! Despite her injury, she continued to show up to every class with her signature bubbly spirit.”
Her TikTok Tutor, Cajoy Isaac, also shared her proud remarks, “Congratulations, Juneliyah! Your passion and enthusiasm for dance shines in everything you do! Your positivity, dedication, and vibrant spirit makes you a joy to be around and an inspiration to others. We are so proud of you! Well done, Harmony!”
