WEEKLY CLASSES
As the largest and most vibrant arts education organization in the Federation, we delight in offering an unbeatable range of weekly classes and experiences for our members, from dance and theatre classes to visual arts sessions and even work-out opportunities! Whether you're here because you are interested in signing up for one of our sessions,
or you just want to get to know more details about us and what we do, we are grateful for your interest.

Here's a run-down on our regularly held classes and camps.
GENERAL DANCE (CHILDREN)
​
This is by far our most popular and diverse Program, offering multi-genre dance classes to children, ages 3 - 19.
From tiny tots to towering teens, we've got our you covered when it comes to finding a great way to channel and harness your children's creativity, talent, personality and energy! Involving your youngster in a LEAP dance class notably improves his/her physical health - flexibility, range of motion, strength, stamina, muscle tone, posture, balance and coordination. Dance also fuels a child's social and psychological wellness by building their self-esteem, discipline, sense of self and awareness, expression, communication and appreciation for team dynamics. Their cognitive development is also prominent in dance classes as they master musicality, use of memory, expand their knowledge and increase their vocabulary.

Genres taught at LEAP in our general dance classes include ballet and jazz (as the core dance forms), lyrical, modern, Afro-Caribbean, African, Latin, swing, hip-hop and a bit of acrobatics for added range.
​
Dancers are placed into fun, action-inspired named teams according to their age when they enroll, and they graduate from class to class as they grow in our Program.

General Dance Class Tuition is EC$80 per month.
GYMNASTICS (CHILDREN)

We'd quite easily call this one our second most popular Program!
Under the nurturing guidance of our careful coaches, our gymnasts work on their focus, fitness, flexibility and fundamentals all while having tons of fun in a safe, supportive setting! Plyometric jump training, rhythmic floor exercise, balance beam, bar, acrobatics, contortion, tumbling and cheerleading skills are all part of their rich curriculum and intensive (but fun) training process.
Our Flippers & Benders love a good challenge, and walk away from their classes with a renewed sense of personal pride and achievement each and every time - the kind of feeling that makes you want to do backflips!

Classes welcome boys and girls, ages 5 through to 19. Children are placed into their teams based on proficiency level.

TAP DANCE (CHILDREN)
​
For some genres of dance, we dedicate an entire series of lessons. Tap is one of them.
​
It's the ultimate coordination class - teaching not only audible, fancy footwork, but how to synchronize, harmonize and work exceptionally well in teams. Your child will gain a new appreciation and love for movement and sound, as they become the genius makers of their own music with their feet. Using special tap shoes, complete with metal plates fitted beneath their soles, our Tappers' intricate footwork, add perfect percussion to the dazzling moves they learn, embrace and master. You've never seen a set of kids this skillful!

These are our performers who master acting, dancing and singing as an incredible, show-stopping combo!

Unlock the true star qualities you have inside of you! These sessions revolve around the art of Theatre & Musicals, specializing in dialogue, drama, choreography, vocal training, improv and stage presence training and development, with plenty performance and even prop design and production management opportunities, so members learn the ins-and-outs of a solid show.
​
Outgoing children find this an ideal outlet for their energy, skills and talents. Shy ones find these sessions empowering and inspiring, as they encourage expression and build self-esteem and ease them out of their shells.

STREET DANCE (CHILDREN)
Your child will explore and enjoy the explosive energy, moves and music of street culture!
Originating in New York in the 1960's, street dance has evolved to be admired as a fun, challenging, entertaining and mainstream dance style.Our street dance curriculum brings freestyle, hip-hop & urban dance to the fore, focusing on breaking, popping & locking, tutting, krumping, crew battles + more!
The art of street dance demands the development of our dancers' fitness, stamina and core strength; the sharpening of their memories, body awareness and coordination; and the promotion of healthy attitudes and outlooks like teamwork, sportsmanship and self-expression.

Join in on the trendy dance fun, learning choreography and performing all the latest routines on the world's most popular platform for public performance! Our TikTokers will always be known for their youth, spunk, precision, style, high energy and raw personality.

DANCE FOR ADULTS
​
Dance classes aren't just for kids! Revel in the joy dance brings and its incredible physical and phsychological benefits,
as LEAP hosts a fun, robust variety of lessons and sessions dedicated to adults on any level. Whether you're a seasoned dancer and wish to continue to develop and perform, you're a beginner, just curious, or looking for a creative way to workout and keep fit, we've got a class just for you!

THE ACES (ST. KITTS)
The name says it all! It speaks to their attitude, their standards and their execution. The Aces is a diverse dance team, that trains year-round and is available for commercial event hire as they perform for pageants, parties, ceremonies, etc.. Dance experience (not necessarily at LEAP) is usually required for application as we admit adult dancers to this team from intermediate through advanced level. Beginners are welcomed, but are not allowed to perform at special events until they blossom to intermediate level, which happens quite naturally.

The Aces meet every Tuesday at 7:00pm - 8:00pm.
Tuition for this class is EC$60 per month.

MOVERS (NEVIS)
Move your body, feel alive and thrive on the dance floor! LEAP Nevis pulls together active adults through dance at any level. No dance experience is required. Members use this class as a source of exercise and joy as we bond, explore and express ourselves on the dance floor every week. Performances happen once per year at our annual LEAP Nevis recital.

Movers meet every Wednesday at 7:00pm - 8:00pm.
Tuition for this class is EC$60 per month.

DANCERCISE (ST. KITTS)
Lose weight, tone and keep fit with Dancercise! Hosted by our very own Znessa Blondel, these classes merge heart-pumping aerobics with fun, engaging dance moves and mega-hit music! Bring along your water and towels, as you sweat and dance your way to the perfect dancer's body!
Sessions take place every Wednesday from 6:30pm - 7:30pm.

VISUAL ARTS (CHILDREN)
​
Did you know it is a proven fact that kids who take part in visual arts classes, tend to do better in technical subjects like Math and Science? Many studies show that there is a direct, important correlation between art and academic and achievement. Visual art is a powerful, hands-on way for kids to learn, develop fine motor skills, enhance their critical thinking abilities, and perceive, respond to, create and expressively communicate through images, forms and shapes.

Our little artists are encouraged to use their limitless imaginations to create masterpieces that are guided by their growing skills and knowledge of international art.

Aprons, tools and stationery are all provided. Registration for new artists is always open.

We are ecstatic to now offer cheerleading classes - the ultimate way to foster positive, outgoing attitudes, leadership skills, team spirit, a desire for growth, strength and stamina, and a standard of excellence in youngsters. Cheer training at LEAP can quite easily help children learn discipline in a safe, supportive, encouraging, team-oriented environment, to allow them to appreciate the direct correlation between preparation, focus, practice and success.

A phenomenal combination of tumbling, dance, jumps, lifts, tosses, cheers and stunting, you can look forward to mind-blowing, jaw-dropping, hype-building performances from our LEAP Flyers, each and every time!
